ABOUT EXPERIENCES CANADA
Experiences Canada is a registered Canadian charitable organization that facilitates experiential learning opportunities within Canada. Since 1981, when we began operating as SEVEC (The Society for Educational Visits and Exchanges in Canada), we have built our reputation as a trustworthy, loyal and inclusive organization. Traditionally rooted in bilingual exchanges – our new brand reflects the broader range of experiences and opportunities we aim to offer to Canadian youth, as well as the families and organizers that support them, in their exploration of Canada’s history, culture, current challenges and opportunities. Thanks to the generous support of the Department of Canadian Heritage, our flagship reciprocal exchange program travels 5,000 Canadians each year.
150&Me is a Canada 150 Signature Initiative that is administered by Experiences Canada.
Young Canadians between the ages of 14 and 19 will have the opportunity to participate in the journey of a lifetime to travel across the country, meet other Young Canadians from all parts of the country and work together to shape Canada’s future.
A series of regional forums will be occurring across our great land, culminating in a final National Forum in Ottawa leading up to Canada Day 2017 celebrations.
