Langley Christian High School located in Langley, BC, hosted École Secondaire du Mont Bruno from St-Bruno, QC, on April 2-9. They kicked off the week in Langley’s local first nation reserve, Kwantlen, where they learned traditional activities such as drumming and the game sla’hai. Afterwards they paddled on the Bedford Channel in a dragon boat. They spent a day in Victoria visiting the Craigdarroch Castle, Chinatown, and the Victoria Harbour. Finally, they explored Vancouver where they biked the seawall of Stanley Park, and visited the Olympic cauldron.
The youth ambassadors on exchange are Robin Marriott and Karl St-Jean! They have been given the task of documenting their exchange, which will be commemorated in a digital yearbook at the end of the year. To learn more about them, click here.
