One of my daughters continued in French in university as a result of the trips. — Parent
Honestly, I’m 100% sure that this experience will be a story that I’ll be telling my kids and friends in the far future. — Participant
I can attest to the fact that participants in previous exchanges still keep in touch with each other across Canada. I’ve seen huge personal transformations in youth that have participated in these exchanges. It THRILLS me when I hear past participants talk about a subject they are learning in social class and how they have BEEN THERE! — Group Organizer
Thank you for the opportunity to not only explore Canada, but in that, to explore a part of the world I had never been exposed to. Thank you for making me into an aspiring world traveler, something I never thought I could accomplish until going through this program. — Participant
Thanks so much for providing this valuable opportunity for our youth!! Travel costs to and from Nunavut are very high… opportunities to travel with Experiences Canada have increased self-esteem and identity of our youth and provided hope and a reason to live and thrive. — Group Organizer
The experience my students had while participating in an exchange was amazing. They are from a small town in Alberta and many had never been on a plane or even left our province. It was truly life changing seeing a large city and meeting people from another part of our country. Many of my students may never have an opportunity to travel like this again. — Group Organizer
My son still almost 7 months later talks about his experiences on his forum trips. He is a better student, leader and volunteer since he went. We live in a small community and he would never have been able to gain these experiences here. — Parent
My experience with Experiences Canada was valuable, memorable, insightful, and I would not have changed it in any way. The connections I made throughout my time with Experiences Canada continue to bring me great opportunities. — Participant
My daughter loved the experience and formed a wonderful friendship. We even welcomed her friend again last summer. — Parent
Visiting historical sites on exchange provides meaning to material covered in school. Many of our students would not have the opportunity to see these historical landmarks with their own families. In fact, many of our students don’t have the opportunity to travel outside their own province. — Anne Slauenwhite, Group Organizer
It is incredible when you find out that many of the families who had participated are still actively meeting with their twins of 15 to 20 years ago. We have one family; they have been camping together every summer for 17 years. — Marc Boisvert, Group Organizer
