On National Indigenous Peoples Day we’d like to showcase one of our Indigenous Youth Leaders that will be attending our National Youth Forum 2024 – Reconciliation. Meet Justin Langan! He is a multi-award-winning LGBTQ2+ Métis activist, creative and student at the University of Manitoba. Justin is one of our 10 youth leaders who will be leading 50 youth at our National Youth Forum on Reconciliation in Ottawa on July 3rd to 7th, 2024.

Justin is the Executive Director of O’KANATA, a Federal Non-Profit providing support to Indigenous Canadian youth. He is a National Champion of Mental Health, has been recognized as one of the Top 25 Environmentalists under 25, and has received the 2021 Métis Youth Indspire Award. He aspires to be a lawyer and politician to amplify Canadians’ rights on the global stage. He is a ray of sunshine and a role model for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth, and we can’t wait to see him shine in July at our National Youth Forum 2024! 🧡
